About Springboard Business Acceleration

Springboard is an incubator that provides a broad range of business acceleration services to support and facilitate new and established Tasmanian Science and Technology businesses that are innovative and export focused.

Support and services are available to businesses throughout Tasmania regardless of location. To help businesses grow, develop and achieve goals, Springboard can deliver the latest resources, business knowledge and technical support.

Springboard aims to:

• assist early stage science and technology firms to rapidly reach their full potential;
• improve the rate and success of commercialisation of R&D in Tasmania; and,
• assist in identifying national and international gateways and channels for companies participating in the program.

Depending on the level of services required, successful applicants to the program will have access to:

• shared business services and equipment
• technology and support services
• rental space and flexible leases
• assistance in obtaining the financing necessary for company growth.

Springboard offers a wide range of services and is based at the Tasmanian Technopark in Dowsing Point but offers virtual acceleration for businesses located elsewhere in Tasmania.

The Springboard company is an intiative of the Innovation, Science and Technology Unit of the Department of Economic Development and Tourism and is administered by In-tellinc.
